Falling Walls Lab Austria, application deadline
Dear young talent,
We would like to call your attention to an innovative scientific format for young researchers – the Falling Walls Lab. The Lab is a platform for excellent academics, entrepreneurs and professionals from all disciplines who get the opportunity to present their research work, business model, innovative project or idea with peers and a distinguished jury from academia and business. Each participant has 3 minutes on stage.
Falling Walls Labs take place globally throughout the year. The winners of each international Falling Walls Lab qualify for the Falling Walls Lab Finale in Berlin which is held every year on 8th November and is closely connected to the annual and international renowned Falling Walls Conference, taking place on 9th November. At the Conference, 20 top-class scientists from around the world present their current breakthrough research answering the question “Which are the next walls to fall?”
The Falling Walls Lab Austria is hosted by the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology and takes place during the “Lange Nacht der Forschung” on 22nd April 2016 in Vienna. Applications can be made through the website
The Application Deadline closes by 27th March 2016.
As a special treat, the 3 best presenters from April 22nd are invited to the European Forum Alpbach Technology Symposium from 27th - 29th August 2016 to present their work in front of a top-class jury which will nominate a second winner who will qualify for the Falling Walls Lab Finale and the Conference in Berlin to be held from 8th - 9th November 2016. The most intriguing presenter will qualify directly for the Falling Walls Lab Finale in Berlin. The Falling Walls Foundation covers the accommodation for the 8th - 9th November in Berlin.
